Q: Are insurances accepted?
A: We are participating with most major insurances, such as: Highmark Blue Shield, Capital Blue Cross, Medicare, Aetna, United Health Care, Health America, Health Assurance and some private insurances. Please contact us with your particular insurance to determine benefits available to you. We will file your insurance claims for you, but you will be responsible for any co-insurance, deductible and/or office visit co pays determined under the terms of your contract.
Q: What is the normal recovery time for cosmetic procedures?
A: The recovery time for any procedure performed is unique and greatly depends on the patients overall healths, compliance with postoperative instructions and of course the extent of surgery being performed. During your consultation for any surgical procedure, Dr. Boland will discuss your lifestyle, type of work you do and will give you an estimate of the recovery process.
Q: How much is a professional consultation?
A: All consultations are performed by Dr. Boland personally to inform and educate the patient about the treatment that is best suited for your particular needs. The consultation prices range from $65.00 to $175.00 depending on the length of time needed for complete examination and evaluation. The consultation may be covered under your insurance for medically necessary conditions, which we will submit for you. Cosmetic consultations are generally lengthier in time and are required to be prepaid to hold your appointment time. Call today to see what level of consultation is best for your special needs.
Q: Do you have convenient scheduling?
A: We are currently accepting new patients and always strive to schedule your consultation or appointment at a time that will allow sufficient time to meet all your needs. We will always be happy to discuss scheduling questions over the phone.
Q: Will Insurance pay for my procedure?
A: The decision for insurance coverage depends strictly on your benefit package. If your insurance company determines that a procedure is medically necessary, they usually will cover the procedure (under your benefit plan, all deductibles, co-insurances and co pays apply). For major procedures, we will send a past medical history of your current condition, a plan for treatment and ask the insurance company to predetermine if they consider it medically necessary, or cosmetic in nature. This is not a guarantee of payment and the individual insurance company will determine the ultimate decision.
